Life is Busy
I can't believe how naive I was to think that I could go back to work full time, work on two blogs, one website, and make a card a week. I was crazy, but I learned a valuable lesson!!! Life is busy. So I've decided I'll just get done what I can. I've been making cards, and lots of other cute crafty things, but I just haven't been able to put them on my blog.
This recent card I made is for a very dear friend of mine who is getting ready to have knee replacement surgery. She's been feeling a little down in the dumps, so I made a cute little card that I hoped might cheer her up.
I used some papers from a humongous paper pack that I got from my local craft store for 3.00. Yes, 3.00. There is so much paper in this pack that I don't think I'll get through it in this lifetime, but it was a good find because there is a large variety of vintage papers to choose from. I used Darcie's Heart & Home: Chin Up Buttercup Clear Stamp Set. This is the first Darcie's Heart & Home set I've used, and I was impressed with how well the image was etched into the polymer. It really produced a nice, crisp, and sharp image. The stamped image was fun to color in too. I wish I had some fantastic Copic Markers, but I don't. So, I used a variety of spectrum noir markers to color in the image. Here is how the card turned out.
